Men and women of the South Pittsburg Fire Department
volunteer their time and even risk their lives for others in their time of need. We have
recently gone through our files and found pictures of some of the calls we have been on in the past two years.
NEW ISO RATING for the South Pittsburg Fire Department. The SPFD is proud to say that our rating went down from a 5 to a 4 which means that home
owners insurance will go down a bit. Many of our
firemen worked hard to achieve this rating. We have
updated training and certification logs and have new equipment, including a new ladder truck! This is our fourth ISO rating since the 1980's and we have improved our ability to prevent and fight fire
dramatically since our first inspection. The inspection range is from 1-10 with 1 being the very best. Other fire departments in the area have average ratings of 8.
